Do I need to buy my own moving boxes or will you supply them?
All packing supplies like bubble wrap and boxes are included in our professional packing service.
Can I pack some of my things myself?
This is certainly a job you can do yourself, but if you simply don't have the time, our trained and experienced staff can make the whole process much quicker and easier for you. They are also more efficient, packing things to minimise damage and optimise space. We can supply packing materials if you decide to do part or all the packing yourself.
Do I need to get insurance?
Twin Towns Removals is fully insured against loss or damage to your belongings during the removal process. It’s extremely important to use a removalist that has adequate insurance because it means you will have protection if any of your belongings are damaged, broken or lost during your move. In the rare instance that something happens, you can be compensated for any damages or losses that are incurred. Our insurance also protects our removalists if one of them is injured while performing tasks related to your move.
Will you disconnect my white goods for me?
No, our removalists don't disconnect fridges, dryers, washing machines or any other white goods. These should all be disconnected prior to removal. You should also make sure that the water is drained from your washing machine and your fridge is empty and has been defrosted.
Will you disconnect technology, such as internet, phones and televisions?
No, our removalists won't disconnect televisions, PlayStations, routers, telephones or any other technology. These should all be disconnected prior to removal.
Can you take my furniture apart for me?
In certain cases, yes, we can disassemble some simple furniture and reassemble it for you when it arrives at your new home.
How can I make it easier for your removalists to move my things?
For everyone's safety, make sure that our removalists can access your property easily. This means making sure that the removal van can park in the driveway or in the street right out the front. The removalists should have a clear path between your property and the van. Inside the property, ensure there is a clear passage to allow the removalists to easily carry your belongings out to the van, and don't leave anything on the stairways that could block the way or create a trip hazard.
What if it's raining on moving day?
Your move will still go ahead. Our team will cover your furniture and lay down protection over your floors and carpet at each location during the move.
What can I do to reduce the cost of my move?
If you are looking to reduce costs, you can help us by dismantling beds and moving lighter items into one area. However, we recommend leaving the heavier items to our professionals.
